Acupuncture involves
stimulating specific anatomical points in the body for therapeutic purposes.
The Florida Statutes, Chapter 460 define acupuncture as follows: Acupuncture
is a modality of diagnosing and treating disease, pain or physical conditions
by stimulating various points on or within the body or interruption of
the cutaneous integrity by needle insertion to secure a reflex relief
of the symptoms by nerve stimulation. Acupuncture is recognized as a modality
of treatment, which is an adjunct to chiropractic. We utilize sterile,
non-corrosive, disposable needles for your safety. You should always inform
your doctor of the medications you are currently taking, whether or not
you are or could be pregnant, if you have a cardiac pacemaker, and if
you have received cosmetic implants. Please call our office
regarding treatments to suit your specific needs. |
